Head of Client Services & Operations
Jennifer McCarthy
Raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada, Jennifer McCarthy moved to the Cayman Islands in 1997 and built a career spanning healthcare, economic development and community-focused organizations. Before TechCayman, she served as Head of Operations at Cayman HospiceCare, now Jasmine, and held a leadership role with the developer of Health City Cayman Islands. Jennifer has been part of TechCayman since its inception, playing an integral role in its growth as a destination for technology companies establishing in the Cayman Islands. A frequent industry speaker, Jennifer is passionate about education, community engagement and Cayman’s growing technology sector.
Sr. Manager, Business Development
Sara Marino Ellis
Sara Marino Ellis joined TechCayman in May 2024, bringing over a decade of experience across brand strategy, product development and business development. Originally from Canada, she worked on the global brand team of a major Canadian consumer company, leading marketing initiatives across the US and international markets, before relocating to Cayman in 2018 and moving into business development at a prominent Cayman law firm, where she helped launch new practice areas and business initiatives. Sara leads brand strategy for TechCayman and focuses on the firm’s growth in Web3, digital assets and other emerging tech sectors. Outside the office, she plays pickleball, flag football and Gaelic football, and enjoys exploring Cayman’s food scene.
Sr. Manager, Business Development
Alex Stemler
Alex Stemler brings a background spanning technology, entrepreneurship, venture capital and corporate finance to TechCayman, where he started in early 2026. A UK native, he began in technology consulting at IBM and boutique firms, working with blue-chip companies across the US and Europe on digital transformation initiatives, before co-founding an award-winning, venture-backed AI B2B software company and later moving into venture capital. As Senior Manager of Business Development, Alex leads TechCayman’s Founders Programme, working closely with talented founders as they scale and grow in Cayman. In his spare time, he can often be found underwater, in the kitchen or exploring Cayman’s vibrant restaurant scene.

Dru Bodden
Dru Bodden, born and raised in Breakers, Grand Cayman, returned home after earning her associate degree in Orlando to join the TechCayman team in 2022. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from ICCI in 2026, further strengthening her foundation in client services and operations. Her deep local roots and commitment to the community are central to her role, where she manages client work permit applications, supports relocation and coordinates educational outreach programmes. Dru thrives on client satisfaction and values the positive feedback she receives. Outside of work, she enjoys the natural beauty of the Cayman Islands, particularly its crystal-clear beaches and warm, close-knit community.
Education Manager
Philip Liu
Philip Liu’s journey in technology began at Harvard University, where he studied Computer Science and created his first websites in his dorm room. His career has spanned enterprise software and high-frequency trading systems, ultimately leading him to TechCayman, where he spearheads educational initiatives. Phil oversees programmes like TechCayman robotics camps, hackerspace and in-school programming workshops, inspiring the next generation of tech talent in Cayman’s evolving ecosystem. In his free time, he enjoys freediving and rock climbing, embracing the adventurous spirit of island life.
Client Services & Operations Coordinator
Shaquin Rankine
A Grand Cayman native from East End, Shaquin Rankine joined TechCayman in 2025. With a background in administration and operations, she plays an important role in supporting the day to day delivery of client services and internal initiatives. Her responsibilities include work permit processing, onboarding, and operational coordination, as well as assisting with TechCayman’s education programmes and community engagement efforts. Outside of work, Shaquin enjoys creative writing, exploring new business ideas, and spending time by the beach.
Legal Consultant, Fifty Eleven
Sabrina Foster
Sabrina Foster serves as a legal consultant to TechCayman, bringing over 25 years of expertise in the Cayman Islands’ regulatory landscape. Her experience encompasses corporate and commercial law, alternative investment funds, trust structuring, financing, conveyancing, and regulatory matters. Her comprehensive understanding of both commercial law and financial frameworks makes her a valuable resource for navigating the complexities of Cayman’s business environment. Outside the office, Sabrina is passionate about health and fitness and maintains a plant-based lifestyle.
Marketing Coordinator
Katie Merren
A native of Grand Cayman, Katie Merren has been with TechCayman since 2021, bringing her MBA and expertise in social media management and content creation to her role as Marketing Coordinator. She is passionate about promoting TechCayman Education’s programmes, like the Robotics Camps and Hackerspace, which inspire young Caymanians to pursue careers in technology. Outside of work, Katie enjoys water activities and spending quality time with family and friends.
